Note on income

Our grants income continues to be noticeably more than we receive in member donations. Member donations are decreasing year on year, primarily due to regular donors decreasing the amount they give or stopping their donation entirely. We are therefore increasingly depending on grant providers to fund our mahi. We would prefer a higher number of member donations so we are accountable to our wider community.

This year we have also received additional revenue from sales of Together For Te Tiriti merchandise. The majority of the money is going straight back into funding our campaigning - especially during this political cycle. Thank you to everyone for your support.

While grants can help us with our campaigning mahi, they rarely cover any of our operational costs such as keeping OurActionStation running and the people behind the scenes who look after the less glamorous tasks.

Note on expenses

There is a significant difference between our expenses and income, mostly due to an end-of-year influx from our Together for Te Tiriti merchandise, which we haven’t had time to spend yet.

Our funders

Thank you to everyone who has supported ActionStation’s work financially over the past year. 35.4% of our funds come from small donations from our wider community. In 2024, we received grants from the Peter McKenzie Project, Quatro Trust, Lush, the Clare Foundation and the Len Reynolds Trust. You can see a list of our past funders here.
